Glass microfibre filters are binder-free, withstand 550°C and resist strong acids, which suits loss-on-ignition and suspended-solids work where ashing is required. Cellulose papers are cheaper and fit routine filtration and sample prep.

What is the difference between GF/C and GF/B?
Retention is similar (GF/C 1.2µm, GF/B 1.0µm) but GF/B is thicker. It holds more solids per unit area, which helps with heavily loaded samples, at the cost of slower flow.
Are sizes other than 47mm available?
